Various presenters spoke about the district's programs to address at-risk students.
One program is SABOR -- Southside Addressing Behavior for Optimum Results. This program addresses the academic needs of students whose behavior interferes with their successful learning experiences at their assigned schools.
A second program is the ACES program -- Academic Center for Educational Success. This program is an instructional program that assists students in working at their own pace to recover credit in a setting that is comfortable for students who may need extra assistance.
A third program is the SEAL Academy -- Southside Evening Academy of Learners. This evening school gives students an opportunity to do credit recovery and also provides an opportunity those students who may not be able to attend traditional day classes.
